Rivalry Renewed: The 60th meeting between the Hurricanes and Seminoles comes to form Saturday night, under the lights.
While the rivalry has lost some luster and just simply isn’t what it once was, both programs are on the uprise and both still hate one another.

Miami will come in 3-1 after their shocking loss to Cincinnati last week, while Florida State comes in off a hard fought game against Wake Forest.
Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST.
Miami
While the Hurricanes are on the uprise, they suffered what was a major setback last week against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Miami saw the Bearcats go up and down the field on them and offered very little stance in their way.
The Hurricanes got to within 4 points with just 8 minutes to play, but Cincinnati put the finishing touches on the Hurricanes with a late touchdown drive.

Miami’s offense wasn’t all that bad as they finished with 427 yards total. They ran for 146 of those yards and didn’t have a turnover in the contest. What really hurt them was their inability to find the end zone in the 2nd half. The Hurricanes ended up with just 3 2nd half points in the loss.
QB Brad Kaaya finished 17 of 24 for 286 yards and tossed 3 touchdowns. He’s been consistent all year long for Miami and has really became the leader of this team .
RB Duke Johnson Jr. finished up with 162 yards on just 10 carries and added a touchdown to his name.
Florida State
The Seminoles improved to 4-0 last week with their win at Wake Forest, but things weren’t easy for them. Florida State has had a comparable weak schedule as they’ve beaten Texas State, South Florida, Boston College, and now Wake Forest.
Florida State got a giant blow to their running game as RB Dalvin Cook went down with a hamstring injury in the first quarter and his status for Saturday is in serious question.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Cook had a 94 yard touchdown run to open the scoring, but went down just a drive later with his injury.
QB Everett Golson finished 20 of 31 for 202 yards and had a passing touchdown to his credit.
Florida State has dominated the rivalry in the past seasons as they bring in a 5-0 SU record against the Hurricanes over the last 5. They’ve beaten Miami by 13 or more on 3 of those occasions.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
The rivalry is at least becoming more relevant now that Miami has picked up some steam. Still, their loss last week to Cincinnati was bad and a bounce back performance in this major conference game is a must.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Miami ATS
Miami has a shot here to grab this one outright. Having Cook out for Florida State will obviously help, but regardless, the Hurricanes offense is in stride right now.
