HISTORY: Kentucky and Mizzou have crossed paths in every season since 2012, when the Tigers came over from the Big 12. Kentucky holds the all-time series lead over Missouri, 8-4, after winning last year;s meeting in Lexington, 35-28..
Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky jumped out to a 4-0 start that included a big road win in the Swamp over Florida, but the month of October has been a bit spooky to them thus far. An injury to Will Levis’ finger led to a pair of losses to Ole Miss and South Carolina, but the star quarterback returned and led UK to a homecoming victory over Mississippi State. They came out of their bye and traveled to Knoxville for a painful contest with a hungry, resurgence program.
In Week 9, Kentucky lost to Tennessee, 44-6. dropping to 4-4 ATS this season.
Kentucky scores 23.9 points per game, while allowing 19.9 ppg.
Will Levis’ return calmed everything down for the Bluegrass. You have to throw away last week’s performance, and understand that the veteran quarterback is still a gamer and premier NFL prospect. Levis’ looked good in the upset win over Mississippi State, and he’ll look to bounce back against Mizzou here.
Levis has thrown for 1,733 passing yards, with 13 touchdowns to eight interceptions, and a pair of rushing scores through seven starts.
Chris Rodriguez’ return has led to a revival of the run game for UK. Rodriguez ran for 1,272 yards last season, and he gained 126 yards in his second game back versus SC. C-Rod followed that up with a 197-yard performance in the win over the Bulldogs, and he scored the lone touchdown for UK in Knoxville last weekend. Rodriguez leads the Wildcats with 459 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Kavosiey Smoke has added 275 yards in his relief.
Levis has three primary pass catchers. Tayvion Robinson, a Virginia Tech transfer, opened the season strong, posting a pair of career-high performances, but he’s been quiet since. Robinson leads the UK in receptions (29) and receiving yards (403), and freshman wideouts Barion Brown (26/364/2) and Dane Key (21/330/3) has contributed with solid lines.
Missouri Tigers
Missouri came away from non-conference play with a 2-1 record, picking up victories over Louisiana Tech and Abilene Christian, while losing to former Big 12 rival Kansas State. Mizzou fell to Auburn in a battle of Tigers in their SEC opener, and nearly made school history in a near-win over Georgia the following Saturday.
Missouri then played Florida very well in the Swamp, and finally picked up a conference win when they hosted Vandy for homecoming. Mizzou traveled and spoiled the homecoming of fellow Columbian’s last weekend.
In Week 7, Missouri (+3.5) defeated South Carolina in Columbia, 23-10, improving to 5-3 ATS this season.
Missouri scores 23.9 points per game, while allowing 21.5 ppg.
Brady Cook has been serviceable in his first year behind center. The sophomore quarterback played well against Georgia, and performed even better in the road win over South Carolina last weekend. Cook has thrown for 1,652 passing yards with six touchdowns to seven interceptions, and rushed for 215 yards and three scores.
Cody Schrader took over the lead role last week with Nathaniel Peat, and he delivered with his finest outing of the season. The senior from St. Louis gained 113 yards, and scored the game-clinching touchdown last weekend. Schrader now leads Mizzou with 443 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Dominic Lovett has established himself as the number one option. The sophomore wideout leads the Tigers by a mile in receptions (45) and receiving yards (659), after a career-high 148-yard performance versus the Gamecocks.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Final Analysis:
This matchup will add to the slate the SEC is blessing us with.
Kentucky is a talented team and they have to stop the bleeding here. Will Levis’ finger injury, along with the natural strength of schedule from the SEC have altered a once-promising season for the Wildcats. A healthy UK team will walk into Columbia with rebounding on their mind. This will mark the final road start of Will Levis’ career, so look for him to be sharp here, with handfuls of NFL scouts more than likely to be in attending.
While what Mizzou has been able to do against the spread has been impressive, they won’t have the benefit of a large underdog margin here. The Tigers won’t be able to bottle up Kentucky how they did South Carolina either, and UK holds a distinct advantage at the quarterback position. Trust that vital upper hand here. UK by 3
