A huge Big Twelve matchup takes place Saturday night as the Texas Longhorns take on the Kansas State Wildcats.
The Texas Longhorns look to carry the momentum from last weeks win over #10 Oklahoma.
For the Wildcats, coming fresh off the bye week after having an up and down season this far, with one or two breaks in a couple of games this team would be at least 4-2 if not 5-1 on the season.
The Longhorns are riding high after an upset win against the #10 Sooners and are looking to really build on it and finish the season strong.
After compiling over 313 yards on the ground in the 24-17 win over the Sooners, you could really see the offensive line of Texas start to settle in and be a more cohesive unit.
But, with Texas QB’s combining for just 12 passes the whole game, expect Kansas State to force Texas to pass the ball on every down by loading the box.
The defense has also looked great at times but has had a lot of really bad games as well. Last week against a very pass heavy Oklahoma they faired well but face a much different balanced offense this week with Kansas state
The spotlight this week for Texas is going to be D’Onta Foreman the Texas RB, after rushing for more than 100 yards last week, look to see Foreman try to get going early in the game and establish the tempo.
Kansas State has largely relied on their defense to step up and make plays down the stretch for the football team. Getting crushed on the road at Oklahoma before the bye week gave the Wildcats a lot to think about coming into their matchup against the Longhorns in Austin.
The one bright spot for the Wildcats on their 3-3 campaign has been QB Joe Hubener. The dual threat QB has 6 touchdowns on the ground and has added 4 in the air as well thus far.
The Wildcats are hoping to get going early and take the noisy Texas crowd out of the game, with a stout defensive front and the Longhorns lack of passing game it should play right into their hand even on the road.
The key to this game is the first couple of quarters, put away Texas early at home and take the air out of the balloon.
On the other hand if Kansas State lets the Longhorns hang in there watch out for the home momentum and don’t expect it to top until the final whistle.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Prediction
Even after a great showing and a big upset for the Longhorns last week, a very good Kansas State team is a tall task for them at home, and with the spread at -7, there is almost no way Texas blows them out.
Kansas State just has to get in their rhythm and play their game in order to win this game, let the Longhorns hang around and look for the Horns to Hook em’ late in the game.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Kansas State ATS
The Wildcats show up in Austin but fall short by a field goal, but don’t get blown out like the spread may suggest.
