The Iowa Hawkeyes will be on the road this week taking on the Wolverines at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Iowa will be looking to stay undefeated on the season and a win at Michigan would go a long way in some national recognition.
Michigan was finally able to look like the team fans were expecting to see in 2019 with a huge win last week against Rutgers. The Wolverines have had very little to celebrate after the first five weeks, other than the recent win.

Coming out on top against Iowa this Saturday could be huge in saving Harbaugh’s job at the end of the season.
Iowa Hawkeyes
The Iowa Hawkeyes are now 4-0 on the season after beating up Middle Tennessee 48-3 last week. Quarterback Nate Stanley was impressive, connecting on 17 of 25 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 11 yards per completion.
Both Toren Young and Tyler Goodson were solid running the ball. Young galloped for a buck 31 on 11 carries, including a dash for 52 yards. Goodson ran the ball for 97 yards in the game, picking up an average of over eight yards per carry.
Tyrone Tracey Jr. was the leading receiver with 85 yards on three receptions, including a grab for 33 yards. Brandon Smith was right behind him with 71 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 11.8 yards per reception.
Linebacker Kristen Welch led the Iowa defense with nine tackles in the game. DT Daviyon Nixon and DL Cedrick Latitmore both were able to get to the quarterback for a sack.
After four games, the Hawkeyes have been able to score an average of 33.5 points per game. They’ve been able to move the ball for an average of 465 total yards, 247.5 passing, and 217.5 rushing.
Defensively, Iowa has held their opponents to just eight and a half points per game. They’ve been very stingy, giving up just 174 passing and 77 rushing yards per game.
Michigan Wolverines
The season hasn’t exactly gone the way the Michigan Wolverines were planning.

That being said, they’re 3-1 and coming off a very impressive 52-0 win against Rutgers. The one loss of the season came to the Badgers, 35-14 in Wisconsin. Michigan didn’t exactly look great in their first two wins of the season at home.
Against Rutgers last week, Shea Patterson was able to complete 17-23 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown. He’s had some issues with interceptions this year, including one last week. He’s also spent plenty of time picking himself up after being sacked a total of nine times this year for a combined loss of 67 yards. On the year, he’s completed 67-113 passes for 905 yards and six touchdowns.
Running back Zach Charbannet is Michigan’s leading rusher with 218 yards, including one for 41, and three touchdowns on 48 carries. Ronnie Bell is the leading receiver for the Wolverines, averaging 15.5 yards per catch for 263. He’s yet to cross the goal line with the ball in 2019.
Michigan has been able to find the endzone for an average of 32.5 points per game. They have been able to put up 261.5 passing yards per contest while running for 130.5. Defensively, they give up 19.3 points per game with 295.8 total yards. They allow 127.8 yards passing and 168 on the ground.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
Here’s the thing. Michigan has struggled this season with any pressure at all applied to their quarterback. Being sacked nine times in four games isn’t exactly something to write mom about.
The Hawkeyes have been straight up mean on defense all year, especially on the defensive line and the linebackers. Iowa has five players with a sack this season and I look for the numbers to increase on Saturday
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Iowa ATS
I’m taking Iowa and the points in this one. Not only do I see the hawkeyes covering, but I also won’t be surprised at all if they come away with the win on the road. I think Patterson ends up picking himself up off the ground a few times.
