The Oregon Ducks stand as repeat Pac-12 champions after a 4-3 run, though this year brings question marks with Tyler Shough now at Texas Tech.

Fresno State Bulldogs
Fresno State appears motivated for bigger things following last year’s return to competitve normalcy. The 2020 Bulldogs averaged 32.8 ppg and allowed 30 -both major improvements from their 4-8 2012.
Led by several hungry upperclassmen, Fresno State’s offense is likely better than its recent version which ranked among the nation’s elite. Defensively, Fresno made offseason upgrades through the transfer portal. While UConn is certainly no Oregon, the Bulldogs linebackers looked sharp while helping blank the Huskies.
Oregon Ducks
No longer a national powerhouse after ending 2020 unranked, rumblings suggest #11 Oregon State is overrated coming into Saturday’s contest. The Ducks did claim the 2020 Pac-12, but they dropped winnable games vs. Oregon State and California before being humbled in the Fiesta Bowl by Iowa State.
Amid the downturn, former starting QB Tyler Shough transferred to Texas Tech leaving Anthony Brown as Oregon’s new top choice behind center.
Brown did produce 40 touchdown passes at Boston College, but must limit his turnovers after allowing 20 picks as an Eagle. In limited 2020 action, Brown added two TD’s and 164 yards in two games for the Beavers.
Last season, Oregon scored 31.3 ppg and allowed just over 28.
