The an in state battle takes place Saturday afternoon as the #3 Michigan State Spartans welcome in the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The #3 team in the nation held off the triple option threat in Air Force to grab a 35-21 win in Week 3.

Central Michigan nearly pulled off a miraculous come from behind win as they tied the game up on a 4th down heave with just seconds to go, only to fall in overtime to the Syracuse Orange.

The Chips haven’t actually played all that bad considering they sit with a 1-2 record on the season.
Central Michigan gave Oklahoma State a run for their money in the opening week of the season and then following a win against Monmouth they nearly went into the Carrier Dome and defeated Syracuse.

The Chips have allowed just over 300 yards per game defensively, but will have the tough task of Connor Cook to deal with here in Week 4.
Michigan State
The Spartans have looked impressive this season as they’ve knocked off 2 very good mid major teams and one top team.
With their top team victory coming against the Oregon Ducks, they’ve also knocked off MAC favorite Western Michigan and the triple option specialists, Air Force.
Things should be a little more relaxed this week as Michigan State finds themselves #3 in the nation with a relatively easy opponent to deal with here.

Cook has been phenomenal thus far throwing for 8 touchdowns to just 1 interception. His two main targets out wide, Aaron Burbridge and Josiah Price have caught 7 of those 8 touchdown passes from Cook.
The Spartans have also been a dominant rushing team as they’re averaging nearly 157 yards per game. RB Madre London has rushed for 2 touchdowns and 202 yards.
