The Arkansas Razorbacks will be on the road to take on the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday at noon ET.
Both of those teams suffered their first losses of the season a week ago.
The Rebels started off as 5 point favorites and that number has risen to 6. The first total I saw was listed at 65 points, but that is now sitting at 66.5.
Arkansas is still a good football team, but they got served a dose of reality last Saturday. They are not on the level of teams like Georgia and Alabama, who are the best in the country at the moment.
The Razorbacks were 18.5 point underdogs vs. Georgia a week ago and they came nowhere near covering that number. The Bulldogs stomped them by a score of 37-0. There was never a point in the game where you thought Arkansas had a chance.
Neither quarterback for the Hogs was impressive on Saturday. KJ Jefferson was 8/13 for 65 yards and Malik Hornsby was 2/3 for 22 yards. The running game was not much better. Overall, the defense for Georgia was just simply too much for the Razorbacks to handle and that was reflected in the score.
The defense, which had been very impressive before this game, got exposed. Stetson Bennett only threw the ball 11 times. The main issue for Arkansas was stopping the Georgia running game. It will get no easier for this unit as they now have to take on the explosive offense of Ole Miss.
Ole Miss Rebels
Similar to Arkansas, Ole Miss got served a reality check last Saturday. They are nowhere even close to Alabama at the moment. Yes, the Rebels are a good team, but they should not be put in that elite category yet.
Ole Miss was a 14.5 point underdog to the defending champions and after watching the game, one can see why. This was never competitive and even the final score of 42-21 is a little misleading. Alabama showed that they are still the best team in the SEC West by a wide margin.
Matt Corral was not terrible on Saturday, but he also was not great. He finished 21/29 for 213 yards and 1 touchdown pass. If they were going to win that game, he was not going to have to have much better numbers than that.
The running game was also nothing to write home about. Henry Parrish Jr. ran the ball 11 times for 47 yards. I look for him to be much better in this Arkansas game.
Before the game with Alabama, I heard lots of talk about how the Ole Miss defense was different this year and they would have the ability to slow down Alabama offense. That could not have been further from the truth. Bryce Young did whatever he wanted out there and Brian Robinson Jr. averaged almost 5 yards per rush. This defense will have to bounce back in a big way against the Razorbacks.

4* Free Week 6 NCAA Betting Pick: Ole Miss SU
This is a matchup between two teams in the SEC who are coming off of tough losses. I expect both squads to look sharper in this matchup. I feel confident that the Rebels can win this game, but I am not convinced with them covering it. At the same time, I do not feel great with Arkansas covering it either. This game could turn into a blowout if Ole Miss finds a rhythm on offense, but I do feel it will be a close one. Ole Miss is the better team and there really is no excuse to lose to Arkansas in Oxford. Give me Ole Miss here.
