Two teams from the SEC West will be squaring off in primetime when the Alabama Crimson Tide visits College Station to take on the Aggies.
Alabama is coming off of a win last week while the Aggies are coming off a tough loss.
The spread started off with Alabama laying 15, but that number has shot up to 18. The total has stayed right around 51.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The number one team in the nation sure looks like it. Georgia seems to be the only team that could potentially challenge them.
The Crimson Tide picked up their 5th win last Saturday when they beat Ole Miss 42-21. They easily covered as 14.5 point favorites. The game was never close.
Bryce Young continues to look impressive as the year goes. Last week, he was 20/26 for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns. Another key contributor in the win over the Rebels was running back Brian Robinson Jr. He ran the ball 36 times for 171 yards.
The defense for this team made a statement last week when they shut down the Ole Miss offense. All we heard about was how good and powerful Lane Kiffin’s offense was. The fact of the matter is the Tide defense made them look Ordinary. They did a very good job of containing Matt Corral, who is a Heisman hopeful.
Texas A&M Aggies
Many thought this could be the year that the Aggies would get over the hump and be the best team in the SEC West. So far, they are nowhere near being the best and now they have the challenge of knocking off the defending champs. Until anyone proves different, the West and the whole conference belong to Alabama.
Last week A&M were 7 point favorites at home against Mississippi State and they lost 26-22. There was no excuse for them to lose that game. If they could not knock them off, I wish them good luck in trying to beat the Crimson Tide.
Zach Caldaza was once again not great in the Saturday defeat. He was 12/20 for 135 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 pick. He will have to play much, much better if his team wishes to knock off Alabama. He will be in for a huge challenge when going against that tough defense.
One bright spot for this team in the Saturday defeat was running back Isaiah Spiller. He ran the ball 16 times for 100 yards. I look for him to get a heavy dose of carries on Saturday.
The defense has been the best part of this team so far. The unit was not so great last week. Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers was 46/59 for 408 yards and 3 touchdown passes. They will be in for an even bigger challenge on Saturday when they have to go against Bryce Young and company.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
I like the Crimson Tide to win straight up here.
4* Free Week 6 NCAA Betting Pick: Alabama SU
The Aggies have really struggled against the Crimson Tide lately and I do not see that trend coming to an end on Saturday. Alabama is the better team on both sides of the ball and they have the better head coach. I am not necessarily predicting a blowout here. I am not sold on the Tide covering the large number of 18. Sure, they could do it, but it is not a lock for me. On the other side of things, I am not just assuming that the Aggies cover. I am predicting it to be fairly close, but this could be a laugher. Because of that, I will not be touching the spread. I know it is more dangerous, but I will risk more and take the tide Straight up here. Give me Alabama.
