We have our first SEC Premier matchup of the season when the Auburn Tigers head over to Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. Both teams are coming off their first win of the season, and both teams come into this game as a top 10 team in the AP poll.
Auburn Tigers
Auburn took care of the Kentucky Wildcats to open up their season 29-13 thanks to some great defensive play. Bo Nix struggled to move the ball in his first of the season but hopefully, he can turn it around here against Georgia.
Nix completed 16 of 27 passes for 233 yards to go with three touchdowns and zero interceptions in the win. Bo was one best true freshman in the country last season and has a real shot to lead his team to an SEC championship if they can get past the Bulldogs here.

On defense, the Tigers were masterful. They allowed just two touchdown passes on the day and even got a crucial fourth-down stop at the goal line right before the half to prevent Kentucky from going up 20-15.
Georgia Bulldogs
Some good news for the Bulldogs this past week is that their number one option at quarterback J.T. Daniels will be available to play in this one. Daniels is a transfer USC and only started one game last year for the Trojans before redshirting.
J.T. has only played one full season at QB in college and that was in his freshman season at USC. During that year, Daniels completed 216 of 363 passes for 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He led the Trojans to a 5-7 record that season, maybe he can do better in Kirby Smart’s system.
Defensively, the Bulldogs just keep reloading year after year. They seem to have the SEC’s top defense every season and it’s most likely not going to be different this year. Georgia gave up just 10 points in their season debut and forced three South Carolina turnovers.

Free Week 5 NCAA Football Pick:
I like Georgia in this matchup as the public is riding too high on Auburn. I don’t think people remember but Bo Nix made a lot of mistakes under center against good teams in the SEC last season and he faces the best team defensively this weekend. We are going to see what J.T Daniels is made of as it’s going to be his first game since his 2019 debut. I’m going to have to fade the public on this one and go with Georgia because people are giving Kirby Smart the credit he deserves.
