A battle between Washington and Oregon will decide the Pac-12 North this weekend in Eugene as the Ducks are hosting the Huskies at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday. The Ducks have dropped back to back games for the first time in two years coming into this one, while Washington lost to Stanford their last time out 31-26.
Washington Huskies
With a win over the Ducks on Saturday, the Huskies will have a shot to capture the Pac-12 title for the first time since 2018 when they played Ohio State in the Peach Bowl. First-year head coach Jim Lake has his team playing some really good football while they were projected to finish at the bottom of the Pac-12 in the preseason.
True freshman Dylan Morris took his first loss in his college career in his last game and will try to bounce back against a very good Ducks team. The freshman has completed 67 of 110 passes this season for 897 passing yards to go with his four touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has two touchdowns on the ground this season.
As a team, the Huskies are putting up 30.2 points per game which is 53rd in the FBS. They are averaging 176.5 rushing yards per game which is 56th in the nation. They are averaging 226.5 passing yards per game which is good for 66th in the country.

Defensively, Washington has been very good this season, but they have played some of the worst offenses in the Pac-12 to start the year. They have had games against Oregon State, Arizona, Utah, and Stanford who have a combined record of 5-9. Jimmy Lake’s squad is surrendering 25.0 points per game which is 43rd of 127 in the FBS. They are giving up 185.0 passing yards and 161.3 rushing yards per game which is 29th in the country for total yards per game.
Oregon Ducks
The 23rd ranked Oregon Ducks lost their second consecutive game and dropped to 3-2 on the season after being defeated by the California Golden Bears, 21-17, this past weekend. Oregon was outgained California by a 368-271 margin but committed 2 turnovers in the loss that led to points for Cal.
Offensively, Oregon has been led by Sophomore QB Tyler Shough has completed 63.6% of his passes for 1,389 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Wideout Devon Williams has been Shough’s top target this season. He leads the ducks in receptions and receiving yards with 264 yards and two scores.
On the season, Oregon is averaging 34.2 ppg on 467.0 total yards per game and rank in the top 35 of offenses in college football.
Defensively, Oregon is allowing their opponents to average 28.0 ppg which is 60th in the FBS on 419.8 total yards per game.

Free Week 15 NCAA Football Prediction:
I like Washington to cover in this game. Oregon has had too many players opt out this season and they are playing with half of their team. The Ducks lost most of their motivation to play after falling out of the top 10 following their first loss of the season. Tyler Shough has shown that hs struggles when going up against a competent defense and as long as Washington gets some points of the board they should be able to keep this game close. Oregon has dropped its last two games and it could have been three as it took a miracle to comeback against UCLA in the third game of the season. The Huskies have a top 50 offense and top 50 defense statistically, while Oregon just has a good offense. Give me Washington and the points to cover in Eugene, but I do think the Ducks come out on top due to their experience in the spotlight.
