It is almost that time of year SEC fans. July is almost over and that means that College Football is rapidly approaching. A lot of fans have high hopes for their teams and rightfully so.
Unsurprisingly, the Alabama Crimson Tide are your favorites to win the SEC. This is so standard that it hardly feels like news. In the last 4 years, there has been 3 different conference champions, which shows there is no one team you can pencil in to win it, no matter how dominant they are.
Going into a new season, there are a myriad of questions that could be asked about every team in the conference. There were definitely a few that came to my mind. First, how will Alabama be on offense now that Mac Jones is no longer under center? Of course in all likelihood, they will be good, but they will be the wagon they were last year? Bryce Young, the expected next quarterback, comes in having very high expectations. I have the same questions when it comes to the Florida Gators now that Heisman finalist Kyle Trask is in the NFL. Emory Jones will have a lot to prove as the Gators new gunslinger.
2021 SEC Conference Predictions Value Bet: LSU +1200
The 2020 season was one that Ed Orgeron would like to erase. After winning the championship in 2019, things could not have gone more different the following year for this squad. The Tigers finished the year with a 5-5 record. I do look for their fortunes to change this year and they could be back in the conversation as team to watch out for.
The Tigers have a very talented and experienced offensive line, 2 quarterbacks ready to play in Max Johnson and Myles Brennan, a defense that has plenty of talent, and star power at the wide receiver position. There is definitely promise for this LSU team.
Alabama is still the best team in the West and the conference for that matter, but I would not discount LSU at all. I feel they could give the Tide a run for their money and make things interesting in that division.
2021 SEC Conference Predictions Best Pick: Georgia +250
I want to first say that this is not a shot at Alabama. If I had to bet right now, I would bet the Tide to win the SEC. I just like the value that Georgia has to win it at +250. I think this Bulldogs team has a very good chance to win the East and to win the conference.
This Georgia team has lots of talent and a very good coach in Kirby Smart. JT Daniels is a very good quarterback and I look for him to put up good numbers this year. Not to mention, they have a defense who has proven to be an issue for opposing offenses, talented running backs, and an offensive line that has talent and experience. The Dawgs should definitely feel good about the kind of team they have this year.
Even though I have it as the best pick value wise, it does not necessarily mean I am going to pull the trigger and pick this team to win the SEC. However, I definitely feel Georgia has a good chance to do so when all is said and done.
2021 SEC Conference Predictions: Long Shot Bet: Kentucky +6000
There is a reason why I am calling the Wildcats a long shot to win the conference. Not many are high on them to have a good season, let alone win the conference. However, I cannot overlook the value that this team provides. Coach Mark Stoops has definitely made people respect Kentucky as a football team. Even when they play against powerhouses, they are not an easy out. The Cats were not great this past year, but I do feel they can be better in 2021. Their offense has gotten better thanks to Wan’Dale Robinson transferring from Nebraska. This addition can definitely make their offense more explosive.
Of course there is no schedule in the SEC that is easy. But, I do feel that the schedule does favor Kentucky in some ways. For example, they play Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt on the road. Those are definitely winnable games for this team. I can see this team having a solid season, but ultimately not winning the conference. I just think the road for them is too hard. They have to first have a better record than Georgia in the East, and then somehow get by a team like Alabama or LSU. I just do not see it happening for this team.
2021 SEC Conference Predictions Unlikely Bet: Florida +1200
I feel that the defending Eastern champions can have a decent season, but I do not see them winning the SEC. Last year the Gators were dominant on offense with Kyle Trask at quarterback and they gave Alabama all they could handle in the SEC Championship Game. There is definitely going to be an adjustment period with Emory Jones as the new quarterback. I feel he can be good, but it is going to take time for that to happen.
Florida has had good defenses in past years, but the one last year was not good at all. They consistently gave up big yardage and a lot of points. Unless something changes big time, I still think the defense will have its hands full for the 2021 season.
The schedule for this team is by no means favorable. Of course they get a date with their in division rival, Georgia on October 30th which will be a hard one for sure. Some other tough ones include hosting Alabama on September 18 and going to LSU on October 16th. This team may be ok this year, but I would not count on them to win the conference at +1200.

2021 SEC Conference Predictions: Money on Bama and Georgia (Bet Now at any of our Reviewed Online Sportsbooks!)
A lot of attention is being given to teams like Alabama and Georgia, who most consider the 2 best teams in the conference. I think those 2 have a very good chance to face off in the championship game.
I look for other teams to have good seasons, such as LSU, Texas A&M, and potentially Auburn. Just like every year, there is going to be a very entertaining season that takes place in the Southeastern Conference.
