NFL Futures Feature – 2008 Indianapolis Colts Wagering Outlook
The Indianapolis Colts, (13-3 SU, 9-7 ATS, 7-9 O/U) have been one of the most consistent teams in all of sports recently, not just the NFL, winning at least 12 games in each of the last five seasons, including their Super Bowl winning season in 2006, to put some serious chunk in the pockets of the Top Sportsbooks NFL online sports wagering community.

After posting another solid winning record in 2007, but failing to reach the AFC title game while battling injuries to several key players, the Colts enter the 2008 regular season renewed and as talented as ever.
“Where we are right now is as good or better than we’ve been since we’ve been here,” team president Bill Polian said recently.

After seeing several key players get injured last season, the Colts say they are healthier than they’ve been in several seasons.
“We feel good about the health of our squad and we feel good about the depth we’ve created at various positions. We feel good about the battles we’re going to have in training camp for jobs. That’s always a good thing. We’re anxious to see how they pan out over five preseason games.”
While the Colts have every reason to feel good about themselves entering the 2008 regular season, BetUS online NFL bettors should as well, as the Colts posted mostly excellent wagering statistics last season in the Our best Sportsbooks.
Indianapolis recorded winning ATS, (against the spread) records both, at home, (5-3 ATS) and on the road, (4-4 ATS) while also doing fairly well in Over/Under, (O/U) wagers at home, (4-4 O/U) and on the road, (3-5 O/U).
And, for online pro football bettors who think the Colts are only successful in the comforts of domed turf stadiums like the RCA Dome they play their home games in, think again. While the team is a bit better in all of their wagers on turf, Indianapolis actually posted decent wagering numbers on grass, going 3-4 ATS and 2-5 O/U on grass as opposed to their respective 6-3 ATS and 5-4 O/U records on turf.
Indianapolis also addressed several needs through the draft and free agency, bringing back productive veteran running back Dominic Rhodes, and re-signing tight end Dallas Clark and hard-hitting safety Bob Sanders.
Indy also added center Mike Pollack in the draft, along with two linebackers and two tight ends with its first five picks.
With one of the most talented offensive units in all of football, led by the player I believe is the most astute quarterback in the history of the game, the Colts look like another 12-win season could be a cakewalk.
Here is a look at the Colts’ Draft Picks, followed by their 2007 team statistics and 2008 NFL Odds in the Our best Sportsbooks.
