The Broncos’ biggest troubles came on defense last season as the team ranked 30th in rushing yards allowed last season, 28th in points allowed per game and 19th in total yards allowed per game.
To help shore up their porous defense, the Broncos added several veteran free agents in linebacker Boss Bailey, safety Marlon McCree and defensive ends Ebenezer Ekuban and John Engelberger.
Denver also added several wide receivers to the roster in Darrell Jackson, Keary Colbert, Edell Shepherd and second round pick Eddie Royal in the hopes of improving their 13th-ranked passing offense.
