NFL Futures Feature – 2008 Buffalo Bills Wagering Outlook
After finishing the 2007 NFL season ranked 30th in overall offense and 31st in overall defense in the Our best Sportsbooks, the Buffalo Bills, (7-9 SU, 9-6-1 ATS, 7-9 O/U) went into the current sports betting offseason period with a multitude of questions they needed to answer as quickly as possible before beginning their trek toward their 2008 regular season opener.

Now, less two months away from getting down to two-a-day practices in sweltering heat, the Bills still have a slew of unanswered questions that could plague them for the entirety of the upcoming 2008 season despite adding several players that they believe can help them get back to respectability first, before possibly moving on to bigger and better things.

While head coach Dick Jauron is now entering his third season at the helm for Buffalo, he could be in a bit of trouble if he doesn’t produce at least a .500 record this season, though the Bills think they have made some improvements on both sides of the ball.
The Bills added outside linebacker Kawika Mitchell of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcus Stroud whom they acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in a trade.
The return of former Penn State middle linebacker Paul Posluszny will also help to shore up the Bills’ porous defense while the team is quietly hoping first round draft pick, cornerback Leodis McKelvin will turn out to be a legitimate star at some point in his career.
Buffalo’s biggest addition on the offensive side of the ball is their second round draft pick, wide receiver James Hardy, a 6-foot-6 behemoth who should immediately help the Bills and their pitiful Red Zone offense.
The Bills are also hoping that second-year quarterback Trent Edwards continues his current maturation process while fulfilling the promise he showed last season when he thoroughly wrested the starting quarterback job away from former starter J.P.Losman.
Buffalo has also had to deal with the contract holdout of Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters and a hit-and-run incident involving starting running back Marshawn Lynch.
Here is a look at Buffalo’s 2007 statistics, followed by their 2008 NFL Draft picks and 2008 NFL Odds in the Our best Sportsbooks:
