In a game for the night owls, the Air Force Falcons (12-8 SU, 7-7-1 ATS) fly off to southern California to take on the San Diego State Aztecs (15-6 SU, 10-8 ATS) in Mountain West Conference action set to tip off at 11 PM ET at the Cox Arena.
In the Top Sportsbooks NCAAB betting odds, San Diego State is a nine-point home favorite, with a total of 115.5 points.

The last two lines say it all – Air Force is a team that relies almost completely on shooting the long-range bomb and has little aptitude for crashing the offensive boards. With the Falcons, it’s either feast or famine. An example of “feast” was Saturday’s 10-point win over TCU, when Air Force made nine three-pointers that accounted for 27 of its 56 points in the game (they shot 55% overall). “Famine” is when it gets ugly for them – against New Mexico on January 19, the Falcons were shot down, hitting less than 28% of their attempts with only ELEVEN total field goals.
San Diego State, like Air Force, plays things slowly, but the Aztecs have been out-rebounded only once in their last 14 games. SDSU has not exactly created a fortress at home, going 5-5 ATS, and Steve Fisher’s team has clearly had problems getting out on the perimeter, allowing its last two opponents – UNLV and Colorado State – to make 24 three-pointers on an astounding 55% shooting beyond the arc.
The Aztecs do not shoot the three well, which means Air Force has some potential numbers there it can live with. If the Falcons can get into a nice trading situation here, they can hang all the way till the end, because they allow just 57 points a game and are the conference’s second-best defensive rebounding team (with 20.1 per game).
