The battle for western supremacy continues with Game 3 of the Wester Conference Finals.
Vegas has gone up ahead two games to none as they fly south to Dallas. During the regular season it was the Stars who shone bright as they swept all three meetings.
Both of the first two games needed overtime and each side put up nearly the same amount of shots in each contest. If not for a few lucky bounces, it could be Dallas in the driver’s seat.

The Golden Knights have played some masterful hockey in these playoffs, losing just three times thus far. They’ve won four straight and have scored at least three goals in each of those victories.
Despite having to use their third string goaltender through their last six games, they’ve amassed a league-best 10-3 record in the postseason.
They’re just two wins away from their second Stanley Cup Finals berth in their franchise’s young history.

They’ve impressed on home ice this postseason where they’ve won their last three straight and are 5-1 in their last six.
Offense
Up front the Stars are rocking the fifth-best offense with a 3.47 goals scored average after posting the most playoff goals so far at 52. On power play, they also sit fifth overall but after going 1-for-5 through two games in Vegas, they’ll need a boost from some of their key players if they hope to extend this series.
They’re led by Roope Hintz who leads the team, and the league, with 22 points in 15 games. He’s also first on the team with 10 goals so far with Joe Pavelski not far behind with 8 himself.
