With a 4-3 overtime win against the Utah Hockey Club, the Golden Knights improved to 47-22-8. Vegas, favored by -1.5 goals, failed to cover the puck line. The total for the game was set at 6.5 goals, and the combined 7 goals surpassed that mark.

Vegas trailed 2-0 before Pavel Dorofeyev scored at 15:06 in the second period. The Golden Knights had four different players score in the game, with Brett Howden netting the game-winner at 2:15 in overtime.

Vegas fired 35 shots on goal and scored four times in their 4-3 overtime win against Utah. Brett Howden netted his 6th goal of the season, while William Karlsson added his 2nd. Pavel Dorofeyev, with his 7th goal, got the Golden Knights on the board in the second period, followed by Noah Hanifin’s 2nd goal.

Hanifin also contributed two assists, bringing his season total to 5. Mark Stone picked up his 15th assist on Howden’s overtime winner. The Golden Knights had 13 giveaways in the game.

The Avalanche fell to 47-27-4 after a 5-2 loss to the Predators. Colorado took the lead at 17:06 in the second period, but Nashville responded with five unanswered goals. Cale Makar opened the scoring for the Avalanche, but the Predators tied it up at 11:29 in the second period and took the lead with 1:20 left in the same period. Nathan MacKinnon scored for Colorado in the third period, narrowing the deficit to 3-2, but Nashville sealed the game with two empty-net goals.

Colorado took a 1-0 lead at 17:06 in the 2nd period, but their defense struggled after that, giving up five goals to Nashville. The first came at 11:29 in the 2nd, followed by another at 1:20. The Avalanche also allowed three more in the 3rd, including two empty-netters. Justus Annunen made 21 saves with a save percentage of 87.5%.
