The Vancouver Canucks seem to have halted their downward slide, answering their seven losses in an eight-game stretch with back-to-back victories.
The Canucks would like to continue that streak when they make the fourth stop on their six-game road trip to challenge the Philadelphia Flyers.
Philadelphia for their part, will be looking to bounce back when they hosts the Canucks, after falling for the fifth time in six games on Saturday, blowing a 2-1 late lead to the Calgary Flames and losing to visiting Calgary 3-2 in a shootout.
Basically, the Flyers will be searching for a way to finish a game the way they start it.

Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks are back to their winning ways of earlier in the season. Although with a reduced offensive output. Captain Bo Horvat scored the lone goal in the shootout for a 2-1 victory over the Washington Capitals.
Still, it was on of Vancouver’s biggest this season, showing they could hold the door shut defensively. Vancouver was able to keep the puck out of their net on each of Washington’s three power plays.
Goaltender Jacob Markstrom made 32 saves in regulation and overtime and seven more in the dramatic shoot-out.
The Canucks are now 12-8-4 on the season following the win against the Capitals. Despite their seven game slide they’ve still managed to hang onto third place in the Pacific Division.

Philadelphia Flyers
Philadelphia was on a four-game winning streak before falling in five of its last six, including the 3-2 shootout decision to Calgary on Saturday. This was the league-leading eighth shootout for the Flyers, and clearly, they need to find a way to put teams away early.
Forward, Jakub Voracek did record his 200th career goal in that game, but it was also his first goal in 13 games for the Flyers.
Flyers first-year coach Alain Vigneault will be facing his old team the Canucks, which doesn’t hurt, so perhaps this will be a game where Philly scores the knockout goal in regulation.
Free Vancouver Canucks vs. Philadelphia Flyers NHL Prediction:
The Canucks have a higher power-play percentage but the Flyers have been stronger on the penalty kill. A power-play goal might be the difference in this game.
Although the Canucks seem to be learning they can’t win games entirely on the strength of their young skaters. They found some grit in holding off Washington, plus they have continued strong goaltending from Markstrom.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Flyers ML
That said, the Flyers are a strong home team, and they will play the Canucks hard. Vancouver is in the midst of a long road trip, and that will also take a toll.
Take the flyers and the under.
