The Oilers on the other hand looked primed for a Stanley Cup run, as they have finally nailed their drafts and have a team who realistically can not only make the playoffs, but make a deep run.
Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks were able to snap their 6 game losing streak last time out against this Oilers team in what ended up being an end to end thriller which ended with a score of 6-3 which is typical of a lot of Oilers games this year.
The Canucks have struggled to put the puck in the back of the net this year only scoring at a rate of 2.57 goals per game and a lot of that has to do with Elias Pettersson being out for a significant portion of this season.
Brock Boeser has been one of the few sources of offense for the Canucks, as he has 20 goals on the season and it will be interesting to see how he can do next year with an All-Star center offering up passes for a full season.
Edmonton Oilers
Edmonton has been fantastic this year and that has particularly been true with the offense, as Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have not missed a beat as they are both having great seasons, but we will see how far these guys can carry this team in the playoffs.
Connor McDavid has had probably his best season of his career, as he is likely going to crack the 100 point mark despite playing in a shortened season, as he now has 31 goals and 65 assists.
The Oilers do have some injuries to deal with prior to the playoffs, but all in all the way they have been able to stay healthy for the most part gives them a big leg up going into this playoff season.

Free Vancouver Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers NHL Prediction:
The Edmonton Oilers really should bounce back here with a big performance, as the Canucks are in rough shape right now and they should be hungry to pick up this win after showing some emotion after being beaten by this team last time.
Look for not only Conor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to get on the board, but guys like Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who have made important contributions this year.
