Mike Sullivan’s Rangers went 2-2 in the preseason, then ran into Jeremy Swayman in Boston. New York put 24 shots on goal but couldn’t solve him, and the scoreless game lasted deep into the third period before the Bruins struck twice in 52 seconds and added an empty-netter.
