Andrei Vasilevskiy should get the go in net on Tuesday, as the iron man has appeared in 19 of 23 Lightning games this season. Vasilevskiy has posted three shutouts in his last five starts.
Detroit Red Wings
There’s no doubt Detroit is in trouble on Tuesday against the #1 offense in the NHL and the #2 defense. Detroit subsequently ranks 30th and 29th in those fields respectively.
Over the last three games the Red Wings aren’t scoring while also giving up a bunch – usually not a good recipe. Detroit has scored 2 goals or less in three straight, while allowing 16 scores over that span.
The Red Wings will try to break that three game losing streak against a Lightning team that they lost 3-1 and 5-1 in Tampa Bay back in early February, both puck line payouts.
Detroit will also try to get the win still without their best player, as Dylan Larkin is questionable with an upper body injury. Larkin has missed the last four games, three of them ugly Red Wings losses.
