Two of the best in the West will square off in the Music City as the Blues take on the Predators.

With both teams within one point of one another, this game has the possibility of shifting the standings a bit in the Central Division.
St. Louis
The Blues come into this game winners of 4 of their last 5, with the lone loss coming as a 3-0 shutout to the L.A. Kings. Still, the Blues are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, and they are sure to be tough to handle as the season goes on.
Goaltender Jake Allen is expected to get the start in this one, and he’s been one of the NHL’s best so far.
He only has a record of 5-3, but he has a GAA under 2, and his save percentage of .935 ranks 7 th-best in the league.
The Blues are also getting production from everyone on the ice. Vladimir Tarasenko leads the club with 12 points, and Alexander Steen is right on his heels with 11.

The Blues are fresh off an exciting 6-5 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks, so let’s see if they can carry that momentum into Nashville, which has proven to be a difficult venue to win in if you’re a road team.
Nashville
The Predators are right underneath the Blues in the standings, and the rivalry these teams share is one of the best in the conference.
Seven of the last 8 meetings between these two teams have been decided by one goal, and the Predators will have to be on their A game in order to get some pucks past Allen.
James Neal and Roman Josi are tied for the team lead with 10 points apiece, and with Pekka Rinne in net, the Predators always believe they can win at home.
Nashville is allowing 1.6 goals per game at home this year, and Rinne has been a major reason why.
The Preds are also 4-0-1 at home this year, and Rinne has won 7 of his 10 starts so far.

This matchup is the first of 5 consecutive home games for the Predators, and they’d love nothing more than to start it with a win against a quality divisional foe.

Free NHL Hockey Prediction: St. Louis +130
Both teams are pretty much even on paper, but I’m going with the side that offers more value.
The Blues have won 8 of the last 11 meetings with Nashville, so why not take a chance on them here?
This will only be Nashville’s second game played within the division, while the Blues have already won 3 of their 4 divisional matchups.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: St. Louis 3- Nashville 2
This will be one of the best games played on Saturday, but I think the Blues hand the Predators a loss and move closer to the Dallas Stars in the Central Division.
