Get those cervezas on ice, and start your Cinco de Mayo celebrations early with this game 6 matinee game as the St. Louis Blues face off against the Dallas Stars, live from the American Airlines Center. Dallas earned a very tough win on the road in game 5, and have St. Louis dead in the water facing elimination here in game 6. This one should be fun to watch.
St. Louis Blues
Don’t count the Blues out just yet, as they still have lost only one game on the road in these playoffs. But they will have to go back to their game one and three performances, and find a way to beat Stars goalie Ben Bishop if they want to live to see another hockey game this season. Game 5 saw them fire a series high 39 shots at the Dallas net, but they could only find the back of it once.
Blues goalie Jordan Binnington did all he could to keep his team in the game in front of their hometown fans, as he stopped 25 of the 27 shots that the Stars laid on him. If he plays up to that same caliber in game 6, the Blues will have a chance of winning, but that is a big if, as Binnington hasn’t really been the most consistent in this series.
Just as they did in the first round, the Stars went on the road in game 5 and stole a victory away, and now hope to finish off their opponents in front of their home fans yet again here on Sunday.
Jason Spezza and Esa Lindell got all the scoring the Stars would need in game 5 as Ben Bishop was once again huge in net for his Dallas team. I’ve been saying it all series long, the winner of this series will go to the team whose goaltender is hotter at the moment, and heading into this game 6, that is definitely Bishop.

Free St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars NHL Prediction:
There’s a lot laying on the line in this game. Dallas holds all of the momentum at the moment, but the Blues have had no problem going on the road and winning. But if this game goes back to St. Louis, I think the Stars will still hold the upper hand.
Take Dallas to win this game at home and add at least one more year of misery to the St. Louis faithful. Blues can cover a 1.5 goal spread though.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Blues +1.5
Ben Bishop is not a goalie to bet against right now.
