The Carolina Hurricanes continue to increase their lot within the Metropolitan Standings as they have won three straight games after picking up a blowout win over the Los Angeles Kings. In all, they have been victorious in six of their last seven games as their defense continues to rank within the top ten in gols allowed/shots on goal per game.
The St. Louis Blues are also close to taking over second place within the Central Standings, however, they continue to exchange wins to losses in their most recent four games. They were victorious, however, in their last outing versus the Nashville Predators as they recorded their third shutout of the season.

4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Under
Look for the under to be the strong play versus two teams that each possess above average defenses. Also, the under has not only been the result in the last meeting amongst these two teams, but, has also been the result in seven of the last nine games for the Hurricanes in addition to seven of the last eight outings for the Blues. Look for the total to end at 5 for the matchup, as the Hurricanes will edge the Blues in the end by a 3-2 score.
NHL Free Score Prediction: Blues 2 – Hurricanes 3
The Hurricanes have won three of their last four home contests. On the other hand, despite their recent play, the Blues are losers of two straight road games entering this contest. Look for the Hurricanes to get some payback in this matchup on Friday night by getting the slim, low-scoring victory.
