NHL Betting Total:
The Minnesota Wild on the other hand are looking firmly forward towards the playoffs as they look to make a deep run and given their recent form they should be ready for the Sharks this Saturday evening.
San Jose Sharks
The Sharks have only scored 1 goal in their last two games which were both against the Anaheim Ducks in what has to be the low point for this team all season, as they are clearly better then Anaheim on paper.
The Sharks have been able to produce a reasonable amount of goals on a nightly basis averaging about 2.60 per game this season with guys like Evander Kane and Brent Burns both contributing up front.
The Minnesota Wild likely won’t worry too much about the Sharks offense here though, as the Wild know that the Sharks have been surrendering 3.31 goals per game through a mixture of poor goal tending and weak depth at the blue line, so they may very well feel like they can simply out score the Sharks in this spot.
Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild appear to have knocked it out of the park with this Kirill Kaprizov that they drafted, as he already has 16 goals and 19 assists and looks like a future All-Star and he certainly will be if he continues playing like he is now.
The Wild have been a lot better about keeping the puck out of their own net as well and much o the credit for that needs to go to their goal-keeping duo of Cam Talbot and Kaapo Kahkonen who have downright gotten the job done this year.
Despite the Wild being far better then the Sharks all year, they are only 3-3 in the season series, so the Sharks have been doing some good things to frustrate this team and therefor the Wild will be ready knowing the Sharks do not represent an easy 2 points.
Free San Jose Sharks vs. Minnesota Wild NHL Prediction:
The San Jose Shark’s shaky goal tending does worry me here, as it is hard not to believe in this Minnesota Wild offense at this point, as they are so good at puncing on any mistakes that the Sharks make.
The Wild will clearly have the advantage in terms of the goalies here and they are far better offensively, so even though we have to lay a decent amount of juice here I think the Minnesota Wild get the job done comfortably.
I also think the Minnesota Wild are a decent play on the puck line in order to reduce some of that juice, as Ican see the Wild winning this one by a 2 goal margin or possibly even more if they get up early on.
