Sidney Crosby hasn’t missed a beat since his return from the injured list and he’s a big reason for Pittsburgh climbing to within 4 points of the Capitals in the Metropolitan. The Penguins have also risen to 6th in scoring.

Despite a successful week plus, the Flyers still have some work to do with 58 points in the very competitive Metropolitan. Philly is 6th in the division, but just a point back in the wild card hunt.
Alain Vigneault’s team has been getting some great offense production as of late with 4+ goals in 3 of their last 4. Sean Courterier has 5 points over that span and Travis Konecny has 3 goals the last 3 tilts.
Where Philadelphia is at a bit of a downfall in this game is the fact that top goaltender Carter Hart suffered an ab injury a week ago. That likely means Brian Elliott in net coming off stopping 34 of 35 shots against L.A.
