At the very least, timing will be on the side of the Senators when they travel to Vegas on Thursday. This is because the Golden Knights will be coming into this game two nights after a tough battle with Nashville.
Make no mistake, the Golden Knights are still huge favorites in this one at -270. A fresh Ottawa team is a bit tempting with a +220 return on investment however.
Ottawa Senators
Ottawa will be going on the road Thursday for the first time since their season opening 3-5 loss at Toronto. The Sens went just 1-3 in their most recent 4 game home stand.
One of the reasons Ottawa is possibly a solid play in this one is not only because Vegas has played a ton of hockey lately, but because the Senators had a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay on October 12th as +226 underdogs.

Ottawa started the year kind of rough on defense, allowing 15 goals total in their first three games. They have since buckled down to hold Tampa Bay and the Wild to just 2 apiece. The Senators are still 29th in the league in goals against though.
Goaltender Craig Anderson allowed just 1 goal to Minnesota, which should have been good enough to win if Ottawa had any offense in their last game. Anderson has given up 3 scores total in his last two starts.
Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas will be playing their 4th game in 6 nights on Thursday. Their last contest was a battle, one that the Golden Knights ultimately lost 2-5 to Nashville on Tuesday. That game was also at T-Mobile Arena and the Golden Knights were -132 favortites.
Vegas did play well the last time they were supposedly fatigued. That came in a 5-2 win at LA a night after a 6-2 win over Calgary in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights are just 2-2 at home in this young season.
