The Capitals come into this game winners of five straight after their 5-3 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Washington finally leapfrogged the New York Islanders for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, and look like a major threat for the Cup once again this year.

LW Alex Ovechkin is Washington’s overall points leader heading into Friday night with 46 goals and 31 assists on the year. Projected starting goalie Braden Holtby comes in with a 25-16-4 record, with a 2.94 GAA and a .909 save percentage.
