On Saturday, the New Jersey Devils continue their roadtrip, heading to Boston’s TD Garden to take on the Bruins. Coming off a 4-1 win over Tampa Bay, Boston will look to grab its ninth victory in 10 games.
New Jersey Devils
On the second night of a back-to-back, it’ll be a tall order for the New Jersey Devils to grab a win against a streaking Boston Bruins squad. Coming off a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, there won’t be any rest for the last-place team in the Metro Division.

Scoring woes continue, as the team sits in 20th in the league in goals. Most of the scoring continues to come from winger Kyle Palmieri, while Nico Hischier and Blake Coleman have picked up some of the slack.
Still, the defense hasn’t exactly helped — the Devils rank 28th in goals against, allowing 3.38 per game. If New Jersey has any chance of beating the Bruins, it’ll have to start on the defensive end.
Boston Bruins
Winners of eight of the last nine, the Boston Bruins are in solid standing, sitting 2nd in the Atlantic Division. At home against a struggling Devils squad, this is Boston’s game to lose.

The Bruins couldn’t have a more different defense than the Devils, as the team sits 2nd in the league in goals against, giving up just 2.52 per game. Much of that is thanks to the fantastic play of defensemen Torey Krug, Charlie McAvoy, and captain Zdeno Chara.
Offensively, Boston is middle of the pack, ranking 15th in the league in goals scored. The team averages 3.02 goals per game, getting a lot of its offensive success from the combo of Brad Marchand (75 points) and David Pastrnak (66 points).

Free New Jersey Devils vs. Boston Bruins NHL Prediction:
I simply can’t see the Devils, on the second game of a back-to-back, going into Boston’s home venue and stealing a win. Look for the Bruins to cruise to victory in this East Coast matchup.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Boston -1.5
Boston’s defense is fantastic and New Jersey’s is extremely poor. This should lead to an easy win for the Bruins, one that sees a few more goals from the home side. Take Boston on the PUCKLINE here.
