The Nashville Predators have momentum and rest, winners of three straight and having had the last five nights off following a 4-1 win over the Islanders last Friday. Oddsmakers still have Nashville as big underdogs Thursday at Amalie Arena.
The Tampa Bay Lightning can’t seem to put a lengthy win streak together, as their 4 victories in a row last month was a season high. The Lightning have also been good at avoiding losing streaks though, something they’ll try to do Thursday following a 4-2 loss to Detroit last time out.
Nashville Predators
The Predators have needed OT for two of the wins during their current streak, but a 4-3 victory at NHL points-leading New Jersey last Thursday is impressive no matter how long it takes to get it.
Aside from the win over the Devils, the Predators also came back the next night to beat the Islanders 4-1. That’s two wins over plus .500 teams in two nights to cash in at +174 and +146 respectively, so this Nashville squad might be in the midst of turning things around. The Preds’ have picked up a point in 8 of their last 10.

The Lightning should be able to bounce back on Thursday night, as they’ve only lost consecutive games twice this season. Tampa Bay has won 8 of their last 11 overall and their other two defeats over that span came to Boston who is 21-3-1 on the season.
