Minnesota Wild
Jason Zucker scored three time in the third period to account for all of Minnesota’s scoring in a shutout victory in Montreal on Thursday night.
It was a timely win for the Wild, which was on the second leg of a back-to-back after losing in Toronto the night before. Now, Minnesota has a chance to escape their current four-game road trip with two wins. The win also snapped a three-game losing streak.

The Wild will see Philadelphia in each of its next two games, first on the road and then at home two days later.
Zucker’s sixth, seventh and eighth goals of the season gave him both the team lead in points and in goals. He was previously tied with Eric Staal, one goal behind Chris Stewart.
Philadelphia Flyers
Philly got its own win on Thursday night, a 3–1 victory over Chicago at the Wells Fargo Center. It came as payback after the Blackhawks shut them out in Chicago just over a week before.
Claude Giroux scored the first of two goals in the first period and Philadelphia didn’t look back from there, playing Chicago to a draw in each of the two periods that followed.

The Flyers are 8–6–2 but haven’t won two games in a row since the middle of October. That two-game winning streak (if you can call it that) was the only string of wins the Flyers have put together all season. They’ll play Minnesota at home before traveling to the Twin Cities to play the Wild in their very next game on Tuesday.

Free Minnesota Wild vs. Philadelphia Flyers Prediction: Philly makes it two in a row.
They have to rip off a few in a row at some point. I say the Flyers get their second win in a row and set themselves up to sweep the Wild in the home and home after the weekend.
