The Edmonton Oilers have lost three of four overall and three in a row at home to fall out of first place in the Pacific Division. The Oilers look to regain their footing on Friday when they host the Los Angeles Kings.
It should definitely be a favorable matchup for the Oilers in this contest. The Kings sport a disastrous 2-10-1 road record entering a stretch in which they play 10 of their next 12 away from home.
Edmonton has split its first two encounters against a Los Angeles team that has mustered just 15 goals en route to losing five of its last seven contests (2-4-1).
This one doesn’t look to be the most exciting matchup in terms of teams. However, I am always happy to see Mcdavid and Draisaitl destroying unworthy opponents.
Los Angeles Kings
Sluggish starts have been an all-too-familiar theme for Los Angeles, which followed up an early two-goal deficit in a 4-2 loss at Anaheim on Monday by falling behind by a pair of goals against the Capitals.
Offensively it is no question the Kings are struggling. Kings RW Tyler Toffoli has just one point in seven games since collecting two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Edmonton.
They will need a great outing in the net from Jonathan Quick in this one. His stats on the season are: 7-11-1 W-L | 3.29 GAA | 0.883 SV% | 0 SO
Edmonton failed to take advantage of an early lead and paid dearly on Wednesday, dropping a 5-2 decision to Ottawa in the opener of a four-game homestand.
They may be getting some good injury news in this one. Edmonton could see the return of top-six forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zack Kassian who both participated in Thursday’s optional skate at Rogers Place
It’s always exciting to watch the league’s most dynamic duo. Draisaitl and Mcdavid combine for 102 points in 60 games. When your top guns are producing like that, it’s a lot more managable to win games.
Starting in net for the Oilers in this game should be Mikko Koskinen. His stats on the season are: 10-3-2 W-L | 2.62 GAA | 0.917 SV% | 1 SO

Free Los Angeles Kings vs. Edmonton Oilers NHL Prediction:
This looks to be a pretty one-sided affair. You could take the easy bet which is the Oilers, but I see the Oilers putting up some good numbers in this. I’ll make my final prediction the over.
