The Stars have answered the bell in blazing through the Western Conference playoffs. Dallas has been an underdog in every series so far which will continue against Tampa Bay, who had the 3rd most points in the regular season.

Team of destiny? Dallas was basically a toss-up in their playoff-opening win over Calgary, but prevailed as huge underdogs against both the Avalanche and the Golden Knights to reach their first Stanley Cup Finals since 2000.
Dallas has beaten two offensive minded squads the last two rounds which gives them good precedent in this series. Tampa Bay was tops in the NHL in goals scored during the regular season with 3.5.
At this point Anton Khubodin doesn’t care who he faces or how many times they fire at him. The Dallas goaltender stopped an amazing 153 of 161 Golden Knights shots last round (.950). Vegas scored 2+ goals just once in the series.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Tampa Bay has beaten the Blue Jackets, Bruins, and Islanders to reach their first Stanley Cup Finals since 2015. It’s been a much easier road for the Lightning but they needed six games to disperse a NYI team that had just 80 points.
The Lightning were held to 2 goals or less in 3 of the last 5 games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Tampa Bay is running into a red hot goaltender on Saturday night so is the opener looking like a low scoring affair?
