The Blackhawks come into this matchup after getting a two-game winning streak snapped last night. Star player Patrick Kane is pacing the team with three goals and has four assists as well.
Alex DeBrincat, who is tied for Kane for the team lead in points and has two goals of his own, is out along Adam Boqvist due to COVID-19 protocol. Connor Murphy and Duncan Keith have each chipped in five points as well for a Chicago squad that ranks ninth in the NHL in goals scored with 21 on the season.
Chicago has been unable to control the injury bug this season, as they have also been without centers Jonathan Toews and Kirby Dach. The Blackhawks are 26th in the NHL in goals allowed with 26.

Malcolm Subban will get the start at goalkeeper once again for Chicago. He saved 36 of the 39 shots against him Tuesday and has a career GAA just north of three.
Nashville Predators
The Predators are hoping they have momentum going coming into Wednesday’s back-to-back. Nashville had an even attack Tuesday night that saw three different players find the net (Mikael Granlund, Yakov Trenin and Roman Josi).

Neither of these defenses have been playing particularly well, and Rinne is still inconsistent as well at the net for Nashville. He’s taken major steps back in the last few years, which was to be expected given his age. Combine that with the fact that neither of these teams are in the top 25 in goals allowed in the league, and this has the making of a high-scoring contest.
