The Flames, fresh off an impressive 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks, look to pick up another road win against the Winnipeg Jets.
Calgary Flames
Thanks to an impressive performance by net minder Chad Johnson, the Calgary Flames were able to snap the Canucks’ six-game winning streak on Saturday night.
The win moved Johson to 14-8-1 on the season, and he’s solidified himself as the No. 1 goalie ahead of Brian Elliott in Calgary.

The Flames’ offense hasn’t been nearly as efficient as it was last year, but anything is possible when forward Johnny Gaudreau is on the ice.
Despite his incredible 2015-16 campaign, Gaudreau has struggled this year with just 10 goals midway through the season, including just one goal over his last five games.
If the Flames want to return to the postseason, they need to get this offense going.
Hopefully a big win against a scorching-hot team can carry their momentum into this one.
Winnipeg Jets
The Jets are just three points out of a playoff spot despite having a sub-.500 record midway through the season. Winnipeg has been a bland team this year without much to show for it.
They’re not great offensively or defensively, yet the Jets have a serious opportunity to make the postseason.
The Jets are led offensively by 18-year-old Patrick Laine, whose 37 points are tied for the team lead with Mark Scheifele.
Both forwards are young and integral pieces of this franchise going forward, so it will be at least one more season before the Jets are able to generate more continuity on the ice.

They’ll have to get a better performance from goaltender Connor Hellebuyck if they want to win this game, let alone make a postseason run.
The 23-year-old Hellebuyck comes in with a 15-12-1 record but has given up four goals in three of his last four starts.
That isn’t enough to get the job done, and he needs to be better.

Free Calgary Flames vs. Winnipeg Jets NHL Hockey Prediction:
It’s tough to bet on the Jets right now because their goaltending has been so atrocious. Assuming the Flames turn to Johnson in this one, they seem like the much safer bet.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Calgary ML
If Elliott gets the call, however, then playing over the total should be the play of choice.
