The team moved on from general manager Paul Fenton after just a little over a year, and now there are questions if the wild will keep coach Bruce Boudreau after this season.

2019 Minnesota Wild Predictions: Team Strengths
The Minnesota Wild’s biggest strength is with their top three defenders. Ryan Suter, Jared Spurgeon, and Matt Dumba are three of the best defenders in the league.
After that, it does get a little sketchy, but the top three are going to make life really tough on most teams most nights.

They also have goalie Devan Dubnyk who is up and down at times, but when he is on it sometimes doesn’t matter how good the defense is, because he will take care of anything that comes on net.
It’s a good thing the defense is strong this year, because they are going to be leaned on heavily to have success this year.
2019 Minnesota Wild Predictions: Team Weaknesses
The biggest weaknesses right now for this team will become very clear as the season goes on and it’s actually hard to pinpoint.
The biggest issue is this team doesn’t have anyone to lean on when they need someone to step up big. They have a lot of nice players but they don’t have the guy who they can count on to get a big goal in a key situation.
There also some questions about their third and fourth line and that could really hurt them if they suffer any injuries.
Minnesota Wild Prediction: 93 points
How well the Wild are going to do is really a tough question because this feels like a team that could be one of the best in the NHL or one of the worst in the league, and neither way would really surprise me that much.
The Western Conference is tough this year, and I think that is going to hurt their chances, but I still think they can do enough to get in the playoffs.

Once the playoffs roll around it’s when the Wild have the issues and I think that will continue again this year. Sorry Wild fans this won’t be the year they win the Stanley Cup, maybe next year will finally be the year they get the job done.
