Virginia is not playing like they have in past years. So far, it just seems like they are a bit out of sync.
The Cavaliers lost to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday by a score of 63-55. It was just a bad game for them all around.
There have been a few times where this group has looked pretty good, but they have not been able to sustain all that much success. Even in an ACC that is not great this year, they do not seem to be taking charge like they have before.
Offensively, they were just not good enough in their last game. That has been a common theme for them throughout the course of the season and it does not look like it is going to get fixed anytime soon.
Pitt Panthers
Overall, this has not been a strong year for Pitt. They just have not been able to get all that much going in the 2021-2022 campaign.
The Panthers come into this game with a record of 7-10. Sure, they have faced some tough teams, but I still am under the impression that they could have a better record than they presently do.
This group beat the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday by a score of 65-53. They will look to build off of that when they face the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
I really liked the way these guys played defense in their last game. It is not an easy thing to do to hold a team to just over 50 points in college basketball.
