Vandy is not having a good season. There is no other way to call it. They are among the worst teams in the SEC.
LSU is not much better off but with a winning record and being from the Power 5 they should play somewhere in the post season.
I am not saying he isn’t a good coach but perhaps Bryce Drew should have been more selective in his move from Valpo. Winning at Vandy is no guarantee.
That being said they have won their last two and three of four, showing that at the very least Drew is a competent motivator. Still those wins have all been at home.
Jeff Roberson is super athletic, the kind of player that every program would want. He is having a great senior season and I can see him as a Shawn Marion type in the NBA. He is just not a great leading scorer type – to me.
Riley LaChance has proven to be one of the best shooters in American but he needs space to get that shot off and everyone knows about him so that is getting tougher.
LSU is like a lot of teams, including Vanderbilt, dangerous at home but meek on the road. This is a must win for them but their ceiling isn’t great either way.
Tremont Waters will be a nice building block for them. He is a frosh that is leading the team in scoring but not a threat to bolt after one year.
Duop Reath has improved on a nice freshman campaign and is a functional scorer all around the floor. There are just two many games off though. He has scored just 9 points the last two games.
Skylar Mays is another sophomore who took a step forward this season. He can score and rebound and even play a little point. Next year’s these guys can really be in the mix.

Free Vanderbilt Commodores vs. LSU Tigers NCAAB Prediction:
The Commodores have no road wins and are just 3-6 ATS away from home. That tells you a lot.
LSU is the better team in this one and you are not being forced to pay much of a premium for the location.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: LSU -4.5
Vanderbilt won’t give them the game but the season long results say an upset is unlikely. LSU salts this one away.
