This Saturday will see an SEC showdown in the Sunshine State as the Vanderbilt Commodores travel to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators.
The Commodores are off to a disappointing start in conference play, going 2-4 so far in the SEC. They fell 76-68 at Georgia on Tuesday for their fourth straight loss.
The Gators had been great in the conference, winning their first five up until losing 57-53 at South Carolina on Wednesday. They now hold the 3rd place spot in the SEC and hope to get back on track in this one.

The losses on Tuesday at Georgia and at home to in-state rival Tennessee on Saturday stung particularly badly for a once proud Vandy team.
Matthew Fisher-Davis leads the Commodores with 16.3 points per game on 41.8 percent shooting and 39.4 percent from long distance. Forward Jeff Roberson is another key cog in the paint, averaging 10.4 points, 2.0 assists, and a team-leading 7.3 rebounds.
Vanderbilt averages 72.7 points per game and 43.6 percent (39% 3pt) from the field. They allow 71.1 points per game and 44 percent from the field (36.7% 3pt).
Florida Gators
The Gators were clearly the first or second best team in the SEC all year, right up there with Kentucky. However, the loss to South Carolina on Wednesday had to hurt their pride and their chances in the conference. Prior to that, they had won their first five conference matchups.
The South Carolina loss was filled with mistakes and poor shooting for both teams. The Gamecocks turned the ball over 16 times and gave Florida plenty of chances to take over. The Gators led at the half but shot the ball horribly in the second half, missing 14 of their first 15 shots in the 3rd. For the game, they were 0-17 from three-point range.
