Let’s just say that things have not gone so well for Tulsa this year. Realistically, I am not sure how much better it is going to get.
The Golden Hurricane last played on Saturday, where they lost to the Houston Cougars by a score of 66-64. The game was actually closer than I thought, but the final result is just what I thought it would be.
When you examine their schedule, you can see that they have not played the toughest teams in America. Even with that, they still have not been able to take advantage.
These guys stormed back and outscored the Cougars by a 43-28 margin in the second half, but it still was not enough, as Houston led by 17 at the break.
Cincinnati Bearcats
People may not be talking about them all that much, but Cincinnati has had a good season so far. Going into the season, I really was not sure what to make of these guys, but they have definitely surprised me so far.
The Bearcats come into this ball game with a record of 13-5. To me, their most impressive win of the year came when they knocked off the Illinois Fighting Illini, where not many people gave them a chance, but they ended up shocking a lot of them.
This program knocked off the Wichita State Shockers on Sunday by a score of 61-57. It was by no means a pretty win, but they did what they had to do to get the victory.
The offense was not exactly great in their last game, but the defense played quite well. In college basketball, it is not very often that you can hold a team to under sixty points, so they should be happy with that feat.
