Texas A&M Aggies
The SEC is clearly defined into four tiers, with the top three teams tied at the top, a collection of NCAA Tournament bubble teams in the middle, A&M and Arkansas an underachievers just outside of that middling group, and then the bottom-feeders.
A&M was never ranked at any point this season but it has a good coach and some talent with three guys who pour in at least a dozen per game, on average.

The Aggies have won four out of five, too: at Mizzou, vs. UGA and Alabama, and then at Arkansas. The only loss came by seven at South Carolina.
Three-Point shooting is typically a key ingredient in a road upset, though, and A&M doesn’t shoot it well from out there, under 32 percent in conference play, which is 11th-best in the SEC.
LSU Tigers
LSU overcame the loss of leading-scorer Tremont Waters and beat Tennessee in Baton Rouge on Saturday, 82–80. The win gave the Tigers a dozen in the SEC and set up a three-way tie at the top of the conference standings.
Much like the ACC, three teams are competing for the regular season championship in the SEC. Tennessee has lost at LSU and at Kentucky; Kentucky has lost vs. LSU and at Alabama (both by two points); LSU has lost vs. Florida and vs. Arkansas.

The Tigers are done with Tennessee and Kentucky in the regular year and will finish undefeated against both. They do have to go to Alabama and to Florida, though. Tennessee hosts Kentucky on Saturday.
Waters missed the Tennessee game with an illness so he should be back for this game. LSU controls its own destiny in the SEC; who would have thought?
