The UConn Huskies are simply looking to end the season by extending their winning streak to two with a victory over the surging Temple Owls on Thursday. They were able to pick up a win over the South Florida Bulls at home in their last time out as both teams were horrible on offense, yet the Huskies were able to forced 14 turnovers in addition to getting to the free-throw line 27 times in the win.

Again, the Owls certainly need a win in this contest to increase their seeding with a victory over CEntral Florida to end the year. They may indeed have success as they picked up a 13-point win over the Huskies in their last meeting as Temple exploded for 46 points in the first half sparked by a huge performance by Alston, Jr. in leading with 19 points in the win.
UConn Huskies
UConn picked up a rare win over the Bulls of South Florida thanks to 18 points from Josh Carlton along with 16 from Alterique Gibson. And while the Huskies labored on the offensive end in shooting 39% on the night, their defense allowed 32% shooting to the Bulls while also forcing 14 turnovers.
Leading scorer for the Huskies in Christian Vital (15 ppg) struggled in this contest as he ended with just 9 points on a 2-9 shooting night. Carlton (9ppg) has scored in double-digits in the last two games for the Huskies whiel Gibson (13 ppg) has also increase his offensive output recently in averaging 16 points per game in his last three outings.
