Oregon Ducks
Oregon smashed Hawaii last weekend and had the entire week to prepare for Michigan, which wasn’t given such a scheduling luxury.

In fact, Oregon has played just once in the last fifteen days. It finished its tournament in Atlantis on a Friday and played Hawaii on a Saturday. A noon tip in Michigan will feel a little extra early for a team coming from the west coast.
But this Oregon team has experience and its one of the better bets across college basketball to show up for any given game.
Its a terrific spot for sophomore guard Will Richardson, who came into last season ranked as the fortieth freshman in the class of 2018.
He played in every game a year ago and averaged six points. This season, he’s just behind two seniors and a junior in terms of minutes and scoring and upped his points per game to just under ten. He’s shooting over sixty-two percent from three-point range and eighty-eight percent from the line.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan matches every bit of Oregon’s experience. Michigan’s two seniors have been to a National Final and two other Sweet Sixteens. Oregon’s three have been to a Final Four and another Sweet Sixteen.

Michigan is bigger. Oregon runs a rotation with a maximum height of 6’8″. Michigan has no fewer than three guys who can match up with 6’8″, including Jon Teske, who stands over 7-foot.
All the more reason for Oregon to play fast. Michigan would like to play slower, though it will keep up, if it comes to that. The Wolverines did drop 103 in their Big Ten opener against Iowa, after all.
Eli Brooks may match up with Oregon’s Richardson. He’s smaller but has a similarly smooth outside shot. He’s nearly forty-nine percent effective from outside so far this season.
CBB Betting Trends:
- ORE are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big Ten.
- ORE are 31-15-1 ATS in their last 47 road games.
- MICH are 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 vs. Pac-12.
Free Oregon Ducks vs. Michigan Wolverines NCAAB Prediction:
There are angles to both sides. Michigan is in a home bounce-back spot with a perhaps unfavorable game time for Oregon.
The Ducks have had the week to prepare and are one of the few teams in the country that can neutralize Zavier Simpson one-on-one.
This handicapper doesn’t lean hard on the sides but does give the nod to the points with the total going over in what should be another fun early-season matchup.
