Michigan State Spartans
Iowa beat Michigan State for three-quarters of the game at Carver Arena on Thursday night. The Hawkeyes were on the mark from outside and MSU was sloppy with the ball throughout.
Then, the Spartans hit the switch and finished +23 in the last stretch to win by 15. Nick Ward finished 7-for-10 and perfect at the free throw line (the Spartans as a team went 20-for-21) for 21 points and Cassius Winston scored 23 with seven assist and just there turnovers.

Junior guard Joshua Langford sat out his seventh consecutive game with a foot injury. He played some 1-on-1 last week at practice but is still a ways off from a return.
Junior forward Kyle Ahrens played, despite not feeling 100 percent, and ended up re-injuring his back that forced him to miss two games recently. His status is up in the air for Sunday.
Langford averages 15 points per game and Ahrens is a critical leader on both ends of the floor. Despite the injuries, MSU has won 13 in a row. The workload for Winston and Ward, though, concerns me, at least. The Spartans get the whole week off after this one and don’t play again until they host Indiana on Saturday.
Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue has won four in a row since it was blown out of the water at the Breslin Center nearly three weeks ago.
The Boilermakers won at the Kohl Center, where Michigan just went down, then won a couple of home games and picked the right time to go to Ohio State, where they took down the slumping Buckeyes.

The Spartans got up 13 points in the first half in East Lansing earlier this month and just cruised in the second half, extending the final margin to 18 points.
Carsen Edwards was a dreadful 3-for-16 shooting and the Spartans shot 17-for-31 as a team from deep. The Spartans were without Langford at the time but Ahrens started and played 25 minutes; he did, however, miss all four of his three-point attempts.

Free Michigan State Spartans vs. Purdue Boilermakers NCAAB Prediction: Purdue makes it interesting.
The Spartas are banged up. Even Winston got a practice off this week because of how many minutes he’s been playing and some minor tendinitis in his knee. I think MSU prevails but Purdue keeps it interesting, especially in the first half.
