The Baylor Bears will be hosting the Kansas State Wildcats on Tuesday, January 25th.
The tip-off is set for 8:00 ET from Ferrell Center.
The Bears started off as a 13.5 point favorite and that number is now down to 13. The total has gone from 134.5 to 135.
Kansas State Wildcats
I would say that Kansas State has been decent this season, but it has not been anything special. They just have not won games on a consistent enough level.
The Wildcats got beat by the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday by a score of 78-75. They were up by 16 points at the half, but were unable to hold that lead and allowed their opponent to outscore them by a 44-25 margin in the second half.
They do have a few nice wins on their resume, but they also have some losses where they did not look so good. I still feel this team is having an issue with their identity as a team, which is never a good thing.
In the loss to the Jayhawks, Nijel Pack was the leading scorer for them with 35 points and 4 rebounds. Even his big game was still not enough to take down one of the better teams in college basketball.
Baylor Bears
Baylor may not be quite be as good as some people feel, but they still have been a very good team. Overall, I have been impressed with the way they have played thus far.
The Bears have an impressive record of 17-2. Yes, they did lose two games in a row to teams they were better than, but those sorts of things are going to happen throughout the course of the season. I do not view them as the type of team to let that get to them.
This crew picked up a win over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday by a score of 65-51. It was not flashy, but they did what they had to do against a team that is not on the same level as them.
I was very impressed with the way these guys played defense in their last game. It is certainly no easy task to hold a team like the Sooners to just over 50 points.
CBB Betting Trends:
- Kansas State is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.
- Kansas State is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on the road.
- Kansas State is 2-13 SU in their last 15 games played in January.
- Baylor is 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games played on a Tuesday.
- Baylor is 18-2 SU in their last 20 game at home.
- The total has gone over in 5 of Baylor’s last 5 games against Kansas State.
Free Kansas State Wildcats vs. Baylor Bears NCAAB Summary:
After a few tough losses in a row, it seems like Baylor is back to their winning ways. If they are on their game, they should be able to take care of the Wildcats on Tuesday.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: K-State ATS
Kansas State is not the better team here, but that does not mean they can be taken lightly. They already picked up a win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders, who previously knocked off the Bears.
They may not win the game, but I can see the Wildcats sticking around here and being competitive.
For me, this number is just too high to lay with Baylor. This could end up being closer than some might think.
My play is on the Wildcats at +13 here.
