Kansas is elite. It has size, experience and talent with a star on the perimeter in Devon Dotson, a star on the interior with Udoka Azubuike, and a lot more where that came from.

Dotson is a sublime sophomore whose Kansas career was born with the season KU didn’t win the Big-12. As a result, it’s no surprise he’s back.
He’s a competitor who, at 6’2″ and 185, scored over a dozen points per game as one of the few consistent options for Bill Self a season ago.
He’s come back this season a little stronger and is scoring a shade under 19 points per game so far and that’s without getting going from three-point range yet. He’s shooting 30 percent from outside but over 62 from inside. As the best player in Kansas’ offense this season, Dotson will prove himself to be a talent worthy of a lottery pick.
Azubuike was the 33rd-ranked prospect in 2016 but his Kansas career, while not terrible by any stretch (he was all-conference in 2017-2018), has been just a little disappointing, primarily because he’s just so big and skilled.
It was all on display in Kansas’ last game against East Tennessee State when he went 10-for-13 for 21 points, seven rebounds, four blocks, three steals and an assist in 29 minutes. He’s shooting over 76 percent so far this season.
Chaminade Silverswords
Chaminade is only playing in the tournament it hosts every other season now. That decision was made in effect last season, when the Silverswords just watched as Gonzaga topped Duke in a thrilling tournament from the Lahaina Civic Center.

This year, Chaminade is back to play its 101st Invitational game. It has a record of 8–92, which makes this game the most lopsided, on paper, on the first day.
It’s a fantastic field with Kansas and Michigan State as the Duke and Gonzaga of this year’s version. Georgia has some talent, however, and Virginia Tech comes in 5–0. It’s always fun when BYU is part of the action, too.
