The Iowa Hawkeyes travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers.
Both teams were expected to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten conference, but they have looked good early on in conference play.
Will Nebraska be able to improve on it’s impressive start? Or will the Hawkeyes be able to get their second win in conference play?
Iowa Hawkeyes
After starting the season 3-5 and people starting to panic about this Hawkeyes team, they have played better as of late. They have won six of their last seven games.
Their only loss came against a very good Purdue Boilermakers to open up conference play. They rebounded in their last game and beat the Michigan Wolverines 86-83 in overtime.
The Hawkeyes are led by Senior guard Peter Jok. The Hawkeyes go wherever he goes. On the season he is averaging 22.1 points and 6.1 rebounds.

The offensive end has not been the problem for the Hawkeyes this season. They average 83.5 points per game and shoot 46.1 percent from the field.
Their problems come on the defensive end of the ball. For as much as they score they can’t really stop people on the defensive side of the ball.
They are giving up 77.3 points per game. They have improved on defensive as of late, and should end in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Nebraska Cornhuskers had really struggled early in the season and most had pick them to finish in the bottom of the Big 10.
But after the first two games it looks like they could make some noise. They upset Indiana at Assembly Hall and now are coming off a win against Maryland.
The Cornhuskers season has all been about runs. They won their first three games, lost six of their next seven, and now have won three in a row coming into this game.

Nebraska is led by Senior guard Tai Webster. On the season he is averaging 17.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
For Nebraska to win they are going to need to score a lot of points. They need to attack the weakness of the Hawkeyes and get up and down the court.
CBB Betting Trends:
- Hawkeyes are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
- Cornhuskers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 Thursday games.
- Hawkeyes are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.

Free Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers NCAAB Prediction:
This game is a pretty even match up on paper.
It will all come down to if Nebraska will be able to stop Peter Jok. If they are, or at least contain him they should be able to pull out the win.

I think Nebraska and their defense will be able to contain Peter Jok. I expect the home crowd to be the difference and for Nebraska to win.
