South Carolina is more than likely going to find their way into March. However, playing to make sure and to see what seed they get is important and they can really hurt themselves with a loss here to Georgia.
Georgia will likely need to either win the SEC or at the very least make the championship to have any chance.
South Carolina will look to avoid the season series sweep, as they fell in Georgia at the beginning of February.
Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are a middle of the pack team in the SEC and while they have had their chances, they just haven’t been able to string together enough wins this season to put together a solidified resume.
Georgia sits just 15-12 on the season and while they come in off a win, they have dropped 3 of 4 overall. Their lone signature conference win has come against these Gamecocks.
Back on Feb. 2nd, the Bulldogs took a 10 point lead into halftime and really never let the Gamecocks get into any rhythm.

One of the main reasons for their struggles this season has been their road play. The Bulldogs are just 2-8 SU on the road and have gone 5-5 ATS in that span.
Their defense has completely collapsed, as they allow 75 points per road contest.
South Carolina Gamecocks
The Gamecocks meanwhile did lose to Georgia, but sit 5th in the conference, just 1.5 games back of first place. The top of the SEC is crowded and will likely result in the Gamecocks getting the short end of the stick in terms of a top 1 or 2 seed.
The Gamecocks have a current RPI of 36, however their strength of schedule sits at 157 which is why they may have to be on alert a bit.

It’s likely they would only need a split this week in their games with Georgia and Arkansas, but clearly it wouldn’t be wise to play for that.
South Carolina does limp into this one a bit as they fell to Mississippi State after beating Florida and Tennessee.
The Gamecocks do return home, where they are 15-1 and 10-3 ATS in lined games.

This is a solid revenge spot here for the Gamecocks.
After falling in Georgia, look for a very motivated South Carolina team as they want to make sure they solidify their spot in March and leave no doubt incase they don’t win the SEC.
