For the most part, this has been a team that has taken care of the teams they have needed to, while also picking up some impressive wins. Sure, there are a few losses on their resume that make you scratch your head, but that is bound to happen throughout the course of a lengthy college hoops season.
Once again, they get lots of different contributions on the offensive side of the ball in their win over the Noles. Paolo Banchero led his team in scoring with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Wendell Moore also had 16 points and 7 dimes.
Virginia Cavaliers
Virginia has certainly not played like they have in past years when they were going far into March and winning the whole thing. Quite frankly, I have not been all that impressed with them this season.
At the moment, the Cavaliers have a record of 17-10. Considering the fact that the league they play in is not very strong this year, I feel they ought to have a better win/loss mark than that.
These guys got a win over the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday by a score of 74-71. That was a nice win for them over a tough team on the road. They will look to keep that up when they face off with the Blue Devils on Wednesday evening.
I really liked the way they played in the second half on Saturday in their win, as they were down by a 38-30 margin at the half. The offense looked a lot more fluid and in sync as the game went on, which led them to that win.
