It is definitely fair to say that this crew has not faced anyone on the level of the Wildcats this season. It will be interesting to see how they approach this game on both sides of the floor.
In their last victory, the leading scorer for this team was Jyare Davis, who had 18 points and 5 rebounds. Also, Andrew Carr chipped in 17 points and 12 boards to the ball game.
Villanova Wildcats
Compared to some other Villanova teams in the past, I would not say this one was quite as dominant, but they still played very well throughout the season and it would not shock me at all if they made a serious run in the tournament. It is hard for me to doubt a team that is coached by Jay Wright.
The Wildcats come into this ball game with a record of 26-7. They did not exactly have the best record when it came to out of conference games, but they still finished with an impressive mark on the season.
This club beat the Creighton Bluejays on Saturday by a score of 54-48 to secure themselves a Big East tournament championship. As we all know, it is no easy task to go out there and win that conference.
It was certainly not all about offense when they took down Creighton in their last outing, but Collin Gillespie still came up big on that side of the ball to ice the game for his Wildcats. He has been one helluva player at Nova and if he keeps up his great play, I see no reason why his team cannot make some serious noise in March.

One word that I would really use to describe this Wildcats team is steady and they never seem to get too high or too low. I expect their approach to be the same in this game as it would be if they were facing a team in the Big East and if they execute, I do not see the Fightin’ Blue Hens having much of a chance to stop them.
For me, Villanova just has too much firepower on offense to have all that much confidence in Delaware. As the game goes on, I do not trust that they will be able to consistently get stops, which will lead to the game getting out of hand.
There is no question that the 15.5 is a high number to lay, but I like the Wildcats here. I do not feel they will fool around with a team they are a lot better than.
Give me Nova as a big favorite in the first round.
